Last Friday, Guillaume was a guest on Fox 5’s morning show “Good Day New York” to give viewers a preview of the Hamptons Holiday House! Talking with hosts Greg Kelly, Kerry Drew and fellow designer Thom Filicia, Guillaume helped introduce viewers to the mission and purpose of the HHH (a showcase of 22 acclaimed designers, to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Foundation research).
Guillaume and Thom Filicia were guest designers on the show, and talked about their rooms and design philosophy. Guillaume’s room, which is Bastille Day (or French Independence Day), is a fun and whimsical interpretation of what a modern-day Marie Antoinette’s media room would look like.
In his introduction, Thom mentions that Guillaume literally “built his room”, as opposed to simply decorating it. He transformed a rectangular-shaped room into a square room, complete with a faux terrace with a Place Vendome mural (with LED lighting to mimic natural light) and Marie Antoinette portrait, both by Chesley Mclaren. Watch the interview, and you’ll see the gorgeous mirrored TV on the other side!
Thom Filicia’s Living room in the Holiday House is a tribute to the Hamptons’ fresh yet timeless style, and also in memory of his mother, who encouraged him in his creativity- a reminder to celebrate every day as a holiday.

Guillaume had a fabulous experience working with the hosts and everyone involved during his interview on Fox 5. He is grateful for the opportunity to appear on the show to promote Hamptons Cottages & Gardens and the Hamptons Holiday House. Please come out to Bridgehampton (yes, there are trains daily from NYC!) and visit the Holiday House, which is open every Wednesday through Sunday until July 21. Stop by the media room- you might even see Guillaume or one of the G team!
